Description
Paper photograph of a Parisian model of Maison Jau, destined for a German magazine, with a printed on tracing paper explanatory text in German. The photograph shows a young woman dressed in a theater gown, consisting of a long white opera coat, gathered on the upper arm, over the chest and back with quilted cords. A short upper cape covers the shoulders and has white lace on bright green silk background, in the same way as the cuffs. White silk muslin hood collar ties at the front with two ribbon bows with long ends made of white silk satin. Beneath the coat, there is a lace dress lined with green taffeta silk to match the cloak. The look is completed with a hat with some openwork metal buckles, and the lady is holding a short cane.
