Description
Paper photograph of a Parisian model of Maison Lesne, destined for a German magazine, with a printed on tracing paper explanatory text in German. The photograph shows a young woman dressed in an interior gown, in light blue silk muslin, with a waistline embellished with Venetian lace piece, from which vertical lace lines are going to the bodice and the skirt, interchanged with five sewn seams. A very wide piece of lace runs along the front of the blouse and the skirt, which forms a neckline on the corset, which is filled with stretched muslin. The pleats on the skirt fall down and are bordered with lace. The sleeves, which fall out from the elbows in large puffs under a flounce, are pulled together tightly at the wrist. The waistline is accentuated with a light blue Liberty silk sash. The lady is wearing a one strand short pearl necklace with small round matching earrings, and multiple rings of different designs on the fingers.
