Description
Paper photograph of a Parisian model of Maison Paquin, destined for a German magazine. The photograph shows a young woman leaning on a bench, dressed in a summer gown, consisting of a bodice and a skirt. The bodice reminds a mid-18th century style top, with a lace collar and "Engageantes" sleeeves, is covered with a fine lace tulle with Art Nouveau floral ornaments, three quarter length sleeves have three ruffled cuffs. Two long ribbons are going from the back of the bodice down the skirt. The skirt is made of silk, with vertical stitches on the top, forming striped pattern, lace floral appliques on the knee level, making a transition with the bottom part with a short train, consisting of several horizontal layers of ruffles made of silk flowers, on fine lace background, lined with light colour silk. The look is completed with a hat, trimmed with feathers, and a silk chiffon umbrella. Round diamond earrings are visible under the braided hair, multiple long strands of pearls embellish the neck, and the lady is wearing several pearl and diamond rings.
