Description
Paper photograph of a Parisian model of Maison Armand, destined for a German and British magazines, with a printed on tracing paper explanatory text in German, French and English. The photograph shows a young woman dressed in a summer race-meetings gown of white India muslin, the skirt of which has an arrangment of the clusters of straight and cross lines of tiny tucks. The bolero jacket opens over a loose vest of chiffon, and has an edging of tiny embroidery all round. The same embroidery trims the tight upper sleeves on its side and at the slit over the elbow, from which a very full soft flounce of pleated chiffon falls over the hand. A little basque at the back of the waist, and a deep Louis XIII Collarette of rich old guipure complete this costume. The hat shown with it is a large flat disk of white straw, with pink roses clustering along the hair on the inner side, and on the outer brim a full heavy wreath of deep red roses with autumn foliage. The look is completed with a long one strand pearl necklace.
