Description
Cabinet format photograph depicting a young woman, a famous French dancer, Cléo de Mérode (Cléopâtre-Diane de MERODE, 27 September 1875 – 17 October 1966). She is represented in a high waisted gown, richly decorated with lace, sequin embroideries, and pearls on the short sleeves. Her hair is attached on the back, separated in the center, and covered with a net made of ribbons, with a large ribbon crossing her forehead, tied in a bow on the side. Her neck is adorned with multi strand choker necklace, and a longer necklace going down her chest.
