Description
Pair of braces consisting of two large yellow elastic ribbons on the front, creating a V in the back with a central elastic band, reinforced with a yellow leather patch on the top. Each strap has a repetitive vertical motif of the Bitburger "connoisseur" in blue, purple, red, green and orange colours. They are adjustable with silver metal mecanisms on the front, and secured with clip closures on the bottom. In the buttonhole of the left strap, a round orange plastic clip is attached with a metal beer bottle opener to be pulled off on a thin elastic wire.

Donation from the ERDOTEX group, European leader in the revaluation of used textiles, as a part of a partnership in the selection by Alexandre Vassiliev Foundation of the most emblematic pieces, in order to illustrate the history of fashion and to look at these pieces from the angle of Art work.

In 1929, the Bitburger "connoisseur" logo, representing a man in a bowtie holding a glass of beer, was developed by graphic artist G. H. HEIMIG, and entered the advertising stage.
