Description
Traditional Russian headdress, decorated with beads, rhinestones, sequins and glass paste stones on a red and green background. Closure with a blue silk ribbon.
It was made by Georgian Princess Ketevan, wife of an officer named WITMAN and employed by the German consulate in Istanbul. Ketevan WITMAN then offered it to his Armenian neighbor Mrs. Araksin CHUCHADJAN. It was then sold by an antique dealer and purchased in 1995 by Alexandre VASSILIEV.
