Description
Pseudo Russian traditional costume headdress for ballet and opera, decorated with pearls, rhinestones, sequins and emerald imitating glass paste stones, and a tulle veil on the back. This kokoshnik was worn by Nina KIRSANOVA (1898 – 1989) was one of the most important ballet artists of Russian origin in Belgrade, who immigrated after the Red Revolution with her husband to Poland in 1920, and then from there to Serbia in 1923.
After that, the kokoshnik was owned by Xenia TRIPOLITOFF, a Russian-born French ballet dancer.
