Description
Lady's suit consisting of a short skirt and a long jacket covering the hips in silk and linen of dusty black colour with thin white vertical stripes. The jacket is fastening on the front with one row of nine round buttons in black celluloid with engraved geometric motif, and two large square pockets on the front.

This suit belonged to Nathalie CHIBAEFF, born MABAKOFF in Paris in 1933 and died in 2016, a French businesswoman, from a family of Russian emigres. She is the mother of Nicolas CHIBAEFF, former Consul General of France in Quebec, Director of Archives of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in France.
