Description
Gothic revival cross in silvered brass with six edges ending with stylized fleur-de-lis, embellished in the center with a gilded brass openwork monogram forming letters "P J".
This cross could be created for the baptizing of Paul Henri Aldegonde "Olivier" de JOUVENCEL (1844 - 1913), polytechnician, sub-prefect of Fontainebleau, relative of noble French families de COSSÉ-BRISSAC and de PÉRUSSE des CARS, grandfather of the husband of Hélène de BERTIER de SAUVIGNY, descendant of Amédée de PÉRUSSE des CARS and Mathilde de COSSÉ-BRISSAC, Count and Countess des Cars.
