Description
Tomb-shaped wooden sewing kit box decorated with an arabesque motif on the lid made with cut steel nails. Under the hinged handle is a small mother-of-pearl plaque that could receive the owner's initials. The lock also being made of mother of pearl closes with a typical key of Madame Irlande's novelty store. The interior (empty) is lined with pink silk and a large mirror under the lid.
Ancient property of noble French families de COSSÉ-BRISSAC and de PÉRUSSE des CARS, belonged to the descendant of Amédée de PÉRUSSE des CARS and Mathilde de COSSÉ-BRISSAC, Count and Countess des Cars.
