Stage dress made for ballet danser Ludmila TCHERINA.Bustier dress laced in the front with black velvet on yellow fabric, closed by staples on the back, above a grey tulle skirt. Two black knots decorate the bustier at the base of brown elastics.
She probably wore this dress in the short film "Mephisto-valse" directed by Ray VENTURA in 1951 and choregraphed by Serge LIFAR on a music composed by Franz LISZT. Ludmila TCHERINA played Marguerite's role when her husband was Mephisto. Together they told Faust's legend.
