The Illustrated London News (British, London 1843 - 2003)

THE ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS (London 1843-2003) was a weekly British magazine. Founded by Herbert Ingram (British,1811-1860), it appeared weekly until 1971, then less frequently thereafter, and ceased publication in 2003. It offered articles of world news with features on science and discoveries (from natural science to technological advancements), art, fashion, culture, political events, and a special focus on the royal family. Alongside almost every article were accompanying illustrations and photographs. The magazine became a full colour magazine towards the end of its publication run.
