Erich Kittmann (Kłodzko 1892 - 1978 Mittenwald) Wrocław painter, landscape painter, graphic artist and portraitist, creator of, among others official court portraits in Denmark and Germany. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław in the years 1912-16 with Arnold Busch and with Eduard Kaempfer at the Academy of Arts and Crafts. He painted mainly the landscapes from the Giant Mountains, including many from around Jelenia Góra. He attached great importance to the role of light, often introducing stronger contrasts of bright and shaded parts of the landscape.
