François Martin was a silent deaf miniature painter, he is the brother of André Martin, also deaf mute. André Martin worked in Marseille in 1806 and surely spent a part of his life in the south, since it meets his works frequently. François Martin lived in Paris and participated in the Salons of 1810 and 1814.
