Luis Felipe USÁBAL (Spanish, Valencia1876–1937 Spain)
Painter, illustrator and sculptor. Studied in the academies of Fine Arts of Valencia, Madrid, Paris, Rome and Munich. Obtained Gold medal in the Exhibition of 1909. Worked in Berlin as a contributor to various satirical journals, also created a number of film posters and glamour postcards. During World War One he provided a number of illustrations for postcards, many of which were used by German publishers. Was a member of the Association of German Illustrators
As a successful illustrator he was hired by the FOX (producer cinematographic) and moved to Hollywood (USA), where he distinguished as a recognized poster.
