Jean Joseph ENDERS (French 1862-1936)
Jean Joseph ENDERS is an artist born in France in 1862 and deceased in 1936.
A Student of Édouard Baille and Fernand Cormon , he exhibited still lifes and portraits at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1884 onwards, receiving an honorable mention in 1890, a 3rd class medal in 1893 , and a 2nd class medal in 1898, the year he was moved to hors concours. He also won a silver medal at the 1900 Universal Exhibition .
In 1929, he presented at the Winter Salon, of which he was a member, the canvas Young Cat , several landscapes and still lifes.
His students included Berthe Pellissier (1874-1942) and Oscar Koelliker (1882-?).
He died on June 23, 1936 in Ajaccio where he was staying to paint.
