Valente's Men's Formal Wear was a chain of suit and tuxedo shops founded in 1954. It owned 29 locations across Michigan. The business was expanded in the first half of 1970's, but began to slip in the late 1970's. After filing for bankruptcy in 1986, Valente's closed most of its locations, but it still exists today and is considered one ofa well-established retailer in Detroit, MI, specializing in providing high-quality formal attire for men.
