Maison Martinet (French, 1796 - 1890)
Maison Martinet managed by Aaron MARTINET, son of the engraver François-Nicolas MARTINET, from 1796 to 1824. Aaron MARTINET sold his publishing house to his son-in-law Herménégilde-Honorat Hautecoeur, who himself sold it to his sons Eugène and Alfred in 1843. The latter joined forces under the name "Hautecoeur frères" until 1867, when each took responsibility for his house: Alfred ran the publishing house on rue de Rivoli, under the name "Ancienne maison Martinet" and Eugène that of the Boulevard des Capucines, which retains the name "Maison Martinet".
