BSK (American, 1948 - 1980s)
BSK Jewellery was a New York City based company that was in business from 1948 until the early 1980s. The initials B.S.K. stood for the first initials of the owner’s names.
The B was for Benny Steinberg, the S was for Hy Slovitt and the K was for Mr. Kaslo.
Their lines were reasonably priced and could be found in some department stores and Woolworth’s.
Traditionally, BSK jewelers used colored enamel, rhinestones, and imitation of pearls. They made most of the products in the technique of brushing (causing small cuts on the metal surface).
