Fashion journalist Käthe von PORADA in 1911 in Berlin married Alfred RAPOPORT (EDLER von PORADA) (1876 – 1962). In 1925 they divorced. She lived in Frankfurt from 1924 and was one of painter Max Beckmann’s closest friends. In 1928, she went to Paris as a correspondent for the “Frankfurter Zeitung”, from where she supported Beckmann immensely. Her book „Mode in Paris“ was published in 1932. In 1924 Beckmann painted her portrait.
