The 3M Company (originally Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company, founded by five businessmen as a mining venture in Two Harbors, Minnesota, in 1902) is an American multinational conglomerate corporation operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, U.S. health care, and consumer goods. It is based in Maplewood, a suburb of Saint Paul, Minnesota, and has operations in more than 70 countries including there based manufactures.
