Jacques ROUCHON (French, 1923 - 1981)

Fashion, beauty and advertising photographer, Jacques ROUCHON, made his debut for a dozen years, from 1945, as a reporter for the famous Rapho photographic agency, with by Robert DOISNEAU, Willy RONIS and Sabine WEISS. He then covered Parisian haute couture and ready-to-wear for various magazines. Photographer from 1945 until his death in 1981, he had a career as rich as it was diverse. Alternately press photographer, reportage, portraitist, fashion, advertising or catalog photographer, he touches on all disciplines and owes his fame to his work on light as well as his privileged relationship with his models. The photographer opened his first studio rue de Marignan in Paris in 1959 before moving in 1973 to 36 rue du Fer à moulin, which has remained Le Studio Rouchon, the most famous Parisian Photo Studio.
