Hudson (German, founded 1924)
Hudson is a pantyhose and stocking firm created by Fritz SEIFART in 1924 in New Jersey (USA). In 1926 the factory moved to Charlotte (North California). Fritz SEIFART went back to Germany after WWII and continued his business with his cousins (Louis SEIFART, Tauscher et Samuel BLATTERT) in Stuttgart.
In 1953 Hudson began manufacturing seamless stockings on Bentley circular knitting machines in Obergrombach, Baden.
In 1961 appeared the magenta logo and the 4 colours packaging.
In 1962 the brand "Opal" is created.
In 1966 founding of Hudson Textiel BV for sales in Benelux.
In 1967 Hudson sells its Opal shares.
In 1973 first box packaging in the Hudson hosiery industry.
In 1978 KUNERT becomes the majority shareholder.
In 1998 the successful Hudson LillyPut celebrates its 25th anniversary
