Alexei VASSILIEV (Russian, 19th century)
Alexei (Alexey) Porfirevich VASSILIEV ( also spelled Perfilievich; changed his name and patronymic to Alexandre Petrovich) was a Russian photographer, owner of photography studio in Samara. Sometimes signed in French as "Photographie A. Vasileff". He was a Kharkov tradesman, his 1st permission to open a photography establishment No. 3462 was dated July 15, 1880.
He was the author of the photo album "Stay of Emperor Nicholas II in Samara", released in July 1904.
His studio was situated at Dvoryanskaya street, 93, in the houses of Khrenova and Kolacheva.
His studio was active till at least 1910s.
