Henri BUGUET (French, Fresnes-sur-Marne 1761 - 1835 Paris)
Henri BUGUET, born in Fresnes-sur-Marne on April 30, 1761 and died in Paris on February 13, 1835 is a French painter, engraver, caricaturist and illustrator, student of Pierre PEYRON and Jacques-Louis DAVID.
He taught drawing at Mme Campan's boarding school in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. From 1802, he presented portraits, historical or mythological scenes to the Salon. In 1817, he painted for the Château de Pau François 1er. His portraits of Napoleon I, Louis XVIII and Charles X were engraved by Noël François BERTRAND.
