House of Pascaud (French, ca 1890 - 1950)

Parisian fashion house situated at 10, rue Richepanse, specialized in theatre costumes, official supplier of Opera de Paris, Folies-Bergère, la Cigale, Moulin Rouge and other music halls all over the world. The successor of the Maison BARON, sometimes appeared as Maison PASCAUD et BARON. Ruled by M. DUFLOS-PASCAUD in 1900s-1910s. Hired important costume designers of the time, for example Max Weldy, Madeleine VILPELLE. In 1950 Pierre CARDIN, bought the Pascaud house, then specialized in stage costumes, and opened his own fashion house there.
