Charles-René DARRIEUX (French, Bordeaux1879-1958 Clichy-la-Garenne)

Charles-René Darrieux is a French painter, born in Bordeaux on July 17, 1879, died in Clichy-la-Garenne on May 11, 1958. Student of Cormon, Baschet and Schommer, he won the second Grand Prix of Rome 1907. Associate of French Artists. Honorable Mention at the 1906 Salon, 3rd Medal in 1906 and 1907, first medal in 1924. Abd-el-Tif Prize in 1914 Bompard Award in 1944. He received the Legion of honor.
