Philiberte de FLAUGERGUES (French, Paris, 1885 - 1977)

Philiberte de FLAUGERGUES is the daughter of a photographer. Her father Charles BEUDOT ran the studio "Photographie du Donjon" located in Vincennes, at 10 rue de Paris at the end of the 19th century. Born in 1885, Philiberte de FLAUGERGUES is one of the rare women to have practiced as a professional photographer from the beginning of the beginning of the 20th century. She began her career by making portraits, her stamp on her prints reads "Portraitiste Bd Pereire". Then she worked for fashion in the years 1910-1930, notably for the publications of the Pierre Lafitte and Cie Photographic Femina group, directed by Henri MANUEL and Léopold REUTLINGER in 1916, domiciled at 90, avenue des Champs-Elysées. Subsequently, she diversifies her subjects.
